ABOUT THE MATERIAL

Product overview

Identity, scientific context and the details that distinguish this entry.

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide studied in tendon-cell migration, extracellular-matrix responses and vascular-signaling models.[Sources]

The cited experiments examine FAK/paxillin-associated cell migration and VEGFR2–Akt–eNOS-associated endothelial responses. These provide specific cellular endpoints for studying tissue-response biology.

Research variables

The tendon study reported migration, explant outgrowth and survival under oxidative stress, while its MTT assay did not show increased proliferation. Use separate migration, viability and proliferation measurements.

A CLOSER LOOK

Mechanisms & published research

Read each finding with its study model and material identity.

01

Tendon-cell migration and stress response

Tendon explants and cultured tendon cells were assessed for outgrowth, migration and survival under oxidative stress. BPC-157-associated changes included FAK and paxillin phosphorylation. The MTT experiment did not show increased proliferation, making migration and cell survival the distinct findings of this model.

02

VEGFR2-associated signaling

The study used chick membranes, endothelial cells and rat hindlimb ischemia to examine vascular responses. BPC-157 exposure was associated with VEGFR2 expression and internalization and Akt/eNOS signaling. Endocytosis-inhibitor experiments helped connect receptor trafficking with the measured tube-formation endpoint.

Common questions

Which endpoints distinguish migration from proliferation?

The tendon study reported migration, explant outgrowth and survival under oxidative stress, while its MTT assay did not show increased proliferation. Use separate migration, viability and proliferation measurements.

How should storage and handling be confirmed?

Use the specification and available safety or stability information for the offered lot, form and packaging. Request written conditions before ordering; literature alone does not establish a universal temperature, shelf life or reconstitution procedure.

How are catalogue specifications checked against a batch?

The displayed value is a catalogue specification. Assess the offered lot against its matching COA and method. Chromatographic purity, component content and biological activity are different measurements; confirm which results are available.

What information helps with a quotation?

Include the exact SKU, quantity in boxes, destination, desired timing and document requirements. State any label or packaging needs. Pricing, availability, lead time and document scope are confirmed in the quotation.
