Quotation preparation

How to prepare a multi-SKU research peptide quotation request

BatchTide procurement notes

Updated

At a glance

Use one line per SKU and format, with the quantity unit stated explicitly. Add the destination, document requirements, optional services and requested date. Separate essential conditions from preferences so the supplier can identify what is confirmed, what is pending and what changes the price or schedule.

The fields that make a quotation actionable
FieldUseful detailWhy it matters
Item identityProduct name plus SKU and format.Names alone can leave format selection unclear.
QuantityA number and the unit being counted.Vials and packs are different order units.
DocumentsCurrent-batch COA or named additional records.Document availability needs a defined scope.
ServicesTesting, labels, packing photos or split delivery. Each service has its own work and approval requirements.
DestinationCountry and postal code; note multiple destinations. The delivery plan depends on where items are going.
DatesRequired-by date and whether it means dispatch or arrival.Requested dates and confirmed lead times are different.

Use one row for each format

When buying two formats of the same product, list two lines. Retain the SKU beside the format so later messages do not lose the distinction. State quantities in the unit you intend to buy; ask the supplier to confirm the conversion if the quotation uses a different unit.

If an item is optional or a substitute would be acceptable, mark that explicitly. Keep firm requirements separate from alternatives so the accepted order is unambiguous.

Explain how the items should move

For a mixed order, say whether all items must ship together or whether some may ship earlier. If you require split delivery, identify the items or quantities for each destination rather than supplying only a total order quantity.

  • Must ship together, or split delivery acceptable.
  • Packing and label requirements by SKU or shipment.
  • Documents needed before approval or dispatch.
  • Priority items and requested dates.

Use the BatchTide enquiry list

Choose a product format in the catalogue and add it to your enquiry. The quote page brings the selected SKUs, quantities and service requests into one message for email, copy or WhatsApp where available. You can begin with the information you have and clarify remaining details in the conversation.

Before accepting the quotation, reconcile it against your original list: item identities, quantities, service scope, batch records and dates. Adding an item to the enquiry does not reserve stock or confirm a price.

Questions before you enquire

Do I need every detail before starting an enquiry?

No. Start with the known items and requirements. Identify missing details so they can be resolved before the quotation and order are confirmed.

Can I request both laboratory procurement and packaging support?

Include the relevant products and packaging requirements in the same enquiry. The quotation will confirm the available scope for your order.
