ABOUT THE MATERIAL
Product overview
Identity, scientific context and the details that distinguish this entry.
GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys, used in extracellular-matrix, fibroblast and copper-coordination research.[Sources]
Published experiments examine collagen synthesis and glycosaminoglycan remodeling. The coordinated copper and the peptide scaffold are both part of the material, making metal loading and free-copper controls useful analytical variables.
Research variables
GHK contains glycine at its first residue; AHK contains alanine. They have different peptide identities and research records. Compare copper coordination, peptide content and the same cellular endpoint when studying them together.

01
Collagen synthesis in fibroblast culture
Maquart and colleagues measured collagen synthesis in cultured fibroblasts exposed to GHK-Cu. Increased collagen synthesis occurred independently of a change in cell number. The study therefore separates an extracellular-matrix synthesis endpoint from cell proliferation.
Matrix remodeling is more than one collagen endpoint
The study examined glycosaminoglycan and proteoglycan responses to GHK-Cu in tissue and fibroblast models. Decorin and biglycan showed context-dependent patterns, supporting analysis of individual matrix components rather than treating total matrix production as a single endpoint.
Calculated neutral 1:1 copper–peptide coordination core, excluding acetate counter-ions and water; not the full acetate preparation formula.

Registry reference
CAS 89030-95-5 / PubChem CID 71587328 uses the protonated core representation C₁₄H₂₃CuN₆O₄⁺ (402.92 g/mol). The neutral-core calculation above uses a different protonation convention.

Common questions
How are GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu different?
GHK contains glycine at its first residue; AHK contains alanine. They have different peptide identities and research records. Compare copper coordination, peptide content and the same cellular endpoint when studying them together.
How should storage and handling be confirmed?
Use the specification and available safety or stability information for the offered lot, form and packaging. Request written conditions before ordering; literature alone does not establish a universal temperature, shelf life or reconstitution procedure.
How are catalogue specifications checked against a batch?
The displayed value is a catalogue specification. Assess the offered lot against its matching COA and method. Chromatographic purity, component content and biological activity are different measurements; confirm which results are available.
What information helps with a quotation?
Include the exact SKU, quantity in boxes, destination, desired timing and document requirements. State any label or packaging needs. Pricing, availability, lead time and document scope are confirmed in the quotation.
